Recap
And there you have it, another season comes and goes for XVs. It was short and it was sweet! The boys rallied around and continued to fight back securing the victory against Katy and ending up in third place in the league. What an awesome achievement for them. We dedicated this season to Todd and he would have been proud of the boys. An awesome group of young men led by a solid leader in Connor.
The game was a bit shaky in the beginning and we missed tons of tackles. But the team united and made a better effort in the second half. Hector got his first battle would with a nasty cut above his eye. I have never seen coach Derek so excited, being the hockey player in the past, enjoying helping Hector with his past game injury experience. The hit of the game came from Gavin, the hardest hit I’ve seen all season! Players of the match were both Braeland (2 tries) and Semi, always in the right place at the right time., and Andrew Lester in the back line. We do have to acknowledge Thomas for his kicking as he was perfect on the day (11 points total).
Thanks to the parents for all their help this season. Shout out to the coaches for their hard work and effort. And, to the BOD for all their work and time.
But, we are not done! This week we start 7s and will continue training on Tuesday and Thursday 6-8 pm!
I love my Rock Rugby Family!!!
