Rock Rugby posted their third league win last Saturday with a 24-64 victory over the Austin Huns to remain unbeaten this season.

Rock Rugby rolled into Nixon Lane on a high from a big win down in San Antonio last weekend, but they faced a stiff challenge from a resolute Huns side inspired by outstanding performances from center Daragh McGuinness and captain Jackson Rauch. The boys weathered an early Huns try and hit back, some expansive running rugby resulting in 6 tries and a half time score of 5-42 to Rock.

However, in a mirror of their first encounter earlier in the season the Huns came storming back in the second half before Rock managed to re-establish some control late on. The final score was 24-64 in favor of Rock, but the scoreboard was not a true reflection of the Huns efforts and they contributed hugely to an entertaining afternoon of rugby.

Rock tries were scored by Erin Bolton (5), Sebastian Corbo (2), Mason Gracian (2) and Jason Robinson, Mathew Bruce kicking 7 conversions. For the Huns, Jackson Rauch and Daragh McGuinnes scored two tries apiece to secure a deserved bonus point.

Gavin Richards led the assists with 5, closely followed by center Sebastian Corbo with 4 and Mathew Bruce and Gabriel Tanzer with 1 apiece. Mathew Bruce and Mason Gracian each won 2 turnovers, and Gavin Richards 1.
