It was another milestone for the Rock Rugby Academy program, with 5 Teams entering this year’s Bloodfest 7’s.
And the results were excellent.
U17s trophy
Dubbed “the greatest rugby tournament this side of the Red River,” the 2021 Bloodfest rode into town under a scorching Texas sun, and the action on the field was just as hot.
The U17 boys made it to the final, coming up just short against a strong Rhino Rugby side, and ended up in 2nd place, bringing home some hardware.
The U19 boys had some close games and barely missed the final four seedings but won the consolation for 5th place.
The U19 girls put on a solid showing to finish 3rd.
Both U23 teams (men and women) ended up 4th.
Rock Rugby and parents helped with the tournament’s set up, managing the high school division, and clean up.

Many of Rock Rugby’s alumni played for some of the other 82 teams participating in the tournament.
