Cedar Ridge senior Marcos Gonzalez has been named Rock Rugby club captain for the 2021/2022 season. The hard tackling back row forward is in his third season with Rock, and is also a member of both the Rock Rugby academy and the AG Outlaws MLR academy sides.

The quietly spoken Gonzalez has emerged as a clear leader within the squad over the last year and earned the respect of fellow players and coaches alike, leading by example on and off the field. With a young squad full of potential being built around a solid core of experienced players, Gonzalez’ appointment as captain means an important piece of the puzzle has been put in place.
