Rock Rugby 2022

Rock Rugby Practices Start

It was a beautiful clear Texas evening as Rock Rugby began its march towards a successful 2022 Season.

These October practices are a great introduction to the game of Rugby. New Rock Rugby players will learn the fundamentals of the game: passing, player coordination, Rugby’s rules, and language.

Returning players will get the rust off their legs and get back into Rock Rugby.

Seasoned Rugby player and Rock Rugby’s newest Coach Mark Richards was impressed by what he saw from our newest players, saying, “these new guys are picking up the drills pretty quickly.”

The practice ended with a fun game of touch Rugby. Touch Rugby simulates the game of Rugby without the tackling. Tackling drills will come later in the season.

Rock Rugby will be holding practices every Thursday in October and November at the Cricket fields in Old Settler’s park from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

The newest players left the field with anticipation for the next practice and our returning players with smiles.

It’s Rugby time in Central Texas.
